To enhance control over product management, we'd like the 'Add Product' and 'Copy Product' options in User Groups to be distinct. This way, we can grant certain users with 'copy product' permissions only, preventing them from creating new products.
This functionality would be advantageous for clients operating multiple sites under centralised management. The current process allows users to add new products by selecting from existing entries (where one exists). However, a significant issue arises when one of these products is selected, and the product ID is then shared across sites, as any modification at one location (e.g. name change) will propagate to all other associated sites.
